Soramimi Karaoke on Ko-Fi

People were wondering how they can support us, so we started a Ko-Fi page. Please donate if you would like and keep this Japanese karaoke rolling.

Some people may think we are a company, but we are just a group of friends loving karaoke and the Japanese pop culture. All the AV equipment are coming out of our own pocket or is rented for us by the convention.

We only ask for traveling expenses and when it is for multiple days: sleeping accommodations. It is our goal to keep it as cheap as possible. As we all may know, most of the conventions in the Netherlands are non-profit foundations and they need to keep a check on their budget. We always try to work with them to be fair to each other. Also one of the reasons why own quite some AV equipments compared to our earlier days.

Abunaicon 2022 After Con talk

So we are all back home and resting a bit after a wonderful weekend at Abunaicon. It was a fun weekend and for us it was like traveling back in time to 2004. Even though we have many songs (and try to update as much as we can), everybody picked the from are "golden oldies" of that time, songs from Naruto, Bleach, etc.

I know that there isn't much traffic to this blog, but I would like to thank everyone who attended our karaoke event. I was losing energy and was doubting to continue our effort into Soramimi Karaoke. But thanks to everyone I am reinvigorated and will continue with Soramimi Karaoke and do my best to provide Japanese karaoke events for everyone to enjoy. Here's to our future events.

With the current situation with the COVID-19 virus, many Dutch convention are skipping a year. We don't know what will happen in this year, so we shall see when we can have our fun karaoke event. For now: stay save, stay home watch some more anime so I can have some inspiration for new songs.
