So, the first ChibiCon is over and we had a blast! Thanks to people who helped out and moreover, thanks to you all who sang those 4 hours.
Ryo and jopped went over to do our usual Karaoke Cafe again. Unfortunately, due short notice, we were unable to re-print the entire list again so I just printed a little changelist on top.
The location was an actual cafe that's part of the sports complex, so the layout was perfect. After some puzzling we put ourself in the back right and set up all our electronics. For some odd reason the cable to the cafe's audio equipment were crap, leaving us with only the left channel, so we turned everything mono... Ohwell, as long as people can sing.
Things that could've been better... The beamer really didn't do it in that bright room. Next time we need something like curtains or whatever to blind those glass walls. At least to show some stuff on the screen. ...Or a better beamer. Because the list is being stuffed right when we've just started for a few minutes, people wanted to know when their song was coming up. The problem is, that although it shows an time in the playlist, it might not be accurate on the dot. Especially when people don't show up and we have to cancel a preceding song. This led to some irritation for those who came after we cancelled their song. But we solved it by re-adding their song and bumping it up to the 3rd entry. Also, not having a big screen with all the announcements on it didn't help at all.

Yes, it's finally here! We've managed to register www.soramimi.nl and we've started a blog so you can read all the latest news here. (Why .nl you ask? Because all the Soramimi members are Dutch.) Slowly we're trying to get rid of the old soramimi website. More people started using it and after we felt it was time for a change. We'll do our best to provide you with useful information concerning the Soramimi Karaoke developments. So, what's what? As a starting point www.soramimi.nl is your first stop for info. From there you should be able to find your way to our other resources. Help, tuturials and other useful things will be available on SoraWiki but as we're busy people, most stuff is still on the old help page. The downloads are still available in the old download section, but is prone to be moved to a different location in the future. The YouTube channel is not doing much at the moment, but we're planning some video tutorials there, so keep tuned.
Chibicon public appearance As a side note, we will do our usual Karaoke Cafe (unannounced) at the Chibicon convention coming 7 july (Tanabata) held in Utrecht. We are scheduled for 4 hours of karaoke madness! See you there! (well maybe)
