Because I have took a break and went on a vacation, timing new songs hasn't been as regular that I wanted it to be (Also I am in need for some suggestions of new songs :P). Slowly and steadly, timing songs is kicking in gear, as I am watching more anime now and finding cool bands XD.

February 2016 Update

Before I let you know what the new songs for this month are, I want to let you know about are last event: Tsunacon 2016. It was a fun event, we have been there several years now. Last year we have asked for a bigger room and they supply us with one YAY. Unfortunately... We still need a bigger room XD. Soramimi @ Tsunacon 2016

Now that we have a confirmation, we can announce the first convention of 2016 where we will be going providing karaoke: Tsunacon at Rotterdam. Please check their site for information and tickets.

Happy New Year!!

Last year at Abunai I had started to put out a donation box, so we can get new equipment or cover some of our expenses. We are doing this because we are having fun with the fans and the conventions, but most of them are non-profit, so they cannot provide much. As a "thank-you" to all of you that had donated (and I have a slightly case of OCD :p), I had set myself a challenge without informing the other Timers of our group: I wanted that our database would reach the total of 2000 songs, without the counting of karaoke/instrumental version or tv size. I had set this challenge back in November and starting timing songs left and right. Unfortunately, due computer problems and my free time, I had to settle with the following amount: 1900. (For your information, the amount I started with was around 1600.) So go check the list to see all of them.

Once again I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and see you all at a convention.

Abunai 2012: Gotta get down on Friday

Time to kick off our Abunai business with Friday's events. MaxRobo was kind enough to set up the entire karaoke, so we didn't have to stress out about missing cables or looking for that extra mic to get everything up and running. Which was nice. The first songs were added to the playlist at 8 PM and although requesting was a bit slow at first, the last couple of rounds took about 5 minutes to fill up. And at the end of the night it was as simple as dropping the volume on everything and unplugging the screens, with everybody able to go to bed at a decent hour. Coming tomorrow: The Karaoke Competition and any subsequent shenanigans.
